Biodegrade-A-Berry

A series of ecologically mindful packaging – rethinking berry containers by making them biodegradable

 

For this project I was challenged to make something ecological. Thinking of the irony that fresh fruit is sold in plastic baskets, I made an entirely new container that is completely biodegrable. The baskets are made of repulped newspaper and the boxes are made from thick cardstock.

 

I created the boxes’ form and dieline and designed the text and imagery of the packaging to focus on the cutouts that also act as ventilation for the fruit.
